boundaries of war, transforming the dead of Bucha into the human condition in all its complexity. It is worth

positioned three people on the ground simulating dead

denouncing what was happening in Ukraine. Passersby

took to snap a photo, some stayed attentive for a few
minutes or an hour, some were critical or involved, but
no one was indifferent. Pregoni’s performance aimed
to create a memory and give dignity to the civilian
dead of Bucha, especially during those days when
some claimed it was all fake: the corpses, the war, the
massacre, the suffering, the bombings… everything, they
said, was the result of movie sets and conspiracies. The
event was covered by ANSA, the artist was interviewed,
and the news video was picked up by major national
media outlets. The public reacted with shock and
reflection to the work, which was seen as a highly
impactful communicative gesture and denunciation. The
subsequent unauthorized representation of the floating
corpses also stirred intense emotions, blending artistic
        and emotional matter.
The Bucha massacre was one of the most tragic
